Overview

Lämä-van Rudnoplu was founded durring the late 18th century in late fall of the year 1768, by Jóch Vúńó̄sh 'Golden Nicole' Yaw̄ Méoúch Mēnvé̄ vyim Rolɑrtɑcu. The establishment of Lämä-van Rudnoplu was plagued by a lack of willing colonists. After attempts to pay people to resettle failed Jóch Vúńó̄sh 'Golden Nicole' Yaw̄ Méoúch Mēnvé̄ vyim Rolɑrtɑcu struck deals with nearby nations and communities to establish Lämä-van Rudnoplu as a prison colony.

Lämä-van Rudnoplu was built using the conventions of Gnollish durring the late 18th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Lämä-van Rudnoplu is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature masoned stone construction which prominantly features pointed arches, pointed ribbed vault cielings, flying buttress', and window tracery all of which share a simmilar gemoetetic patern halfway between organic and inorganic in design formaing a very distinct aesthetically integrated style. BUildings tend to reach for the havens, and more expencive homes are easily identified by their floor count as well as the addition of decorative features intigrated into the building's design such as statues, gargoyals, and embelished joinery.

Lämä-van Rudnoplu is buildings are arranged arround a network of narrow paverstone streets which form a diamond shaped grid, where each diamond verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller diamond has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The town sits behind an impressive looking clay brick wall. The wall is notable for querried stone blocks being used to renforce the clay bricks in the expected manner and locations. While the wall was built to the exact specifications of modern fortifications, one has to wonder why the money invested into creating such a well fortified wall wasnt spent on a less impressive looking wall crated from sturdier materials. Lämä-van Rudnoplu's walls would endure a brief bombardment, but only from light siege weapons. It seems more likly the town's walls were not designed with defence in mind but rather lending the town a certain air with visitors. Lämä-van Rudnoplu's boondoggle-of-a-fortified wall are suffering from significent damage, so much so that examples can be pointed to no matter which section one might have within their line of site, and most of which render sections inoperable at present.

A look around Lämä-van Rudnoplu gives the unmistakable impression the town is one of the strictest places imaginable. Everyone’s actions are clearly directed by laws they keep in heart and mind at all times. Orderly byond order is a phrase which Lämä-van Rudnoplu brings to mind.

Points of Interest

Lämä-van Rudnoplu is remarkably well-fortified for a site of its size and role. Tall, stout walls, strong points inside the community, concentric defenses, a strategic terrain location, or a large body of standing troops might be present. Some threat is thought to exist that makes maintaining this fortification worthwhile, though it may come at a dear cost to the locals. The community’s suzerain may be uncomfortable with these defenses, as they could just as easily be used to defy the ruler.

The center of Lämä-van Rudnoplu's town square was built around an ancient standing stone.
